2026 Virtual Fall Scholar Showcase

The Student Showcase is designed to highlight SRC-affiliated student talent in topic-based sessions and provide industry members with an opportunity to identify students for follow-up conversations and potential interview opportunities.

Please nominate students who are strong representatives of your research program, able to communicate their work effectively, and well-positioned for meaningful engagement with SRC member companies. 

This nomination form is intentionally brief. SRC will use the information provided to support internal review and final student selection.

👉Event Overview

Student Participation Expectations - Selected students will be expected to participate in both days of Fall CareerConnections.

Day 1: Scholar Showcase - Thursday, November 12, 2026
2:00–5:00 PM ET | 11:00 AM–2:00 PM PT

Selected students will present their research to SRC member company representatives in topic-based sessions organized around industry-relevant technical areas.  Multiple technical tracks will run concurrently during each showcase session. Final presentation assignments will be shared with selected students.

Each student will:

• Be assigned to one technical track and one 30-minute showcase session
• Present and discuss their research with industry representatives during the full session
• Join the event 15 minutes before the assigned session for setup and presenter transition
• Be prepared to answer questions about their research, technical skills, and interests
• Have the option to visit other showcase sessions before or after the assigned presentation

Students may use an appropriate existing poster or presentation previously prepared for an SRC Annual Review, Center Review or another SRC-related research meeting.

Day 2: CareerConnections Career Booths - Friday, November 13, 2026
2:00–4:00 PM ET | 11:00 AM–1:00 PM PT

Day 2 will feature a virtual career booth experience similar to Spring CareerConnections. SRC member companies will host booths where students can:

• Learn about participating organizations and their work
• Explore internship, co-op, and full-time career opportunities
• Ask questions about company culture and career pathways
• Discuss their research interests, technical experience, and career goals
• Build professional connections with recruiters and industry representatives

👉Who Should be Nominated

Please consider nominating students who:

• Demonstrate strong technical contributions or research accomplishments
• Communicate their work clearly and effectively
• Are ready to engage professionally with industry representatives
• Are interested in exploring industry career opportunities
• Would represent your university, research program, and SRC-affiliated work well

👉What Information Will PIs Need?

Please be prepared to provide:

• PI and university information
• Student name and email
• Degree level and major or discipline
• Expected graduation timeframe
• Primary research or technical topic area
• Brief research project title or focus
• A brief assessment of the student’s research, presentation, and industry-engagement readiness
• A short explanation of why the student is being nominated

👉Selection and Notification

SRC will review nominations after the nomination period closes.

Selected students will be notified on October 5, 2026 and will receive:

• Technical track and showcase session assignment
• Poster and presentation guidance
• Virtual platform instructions
• Day 1 arrival and transition information
• Day 2 career booth participation details

PIs will also be informed of the nomination outcome.

PIs may nominate up to three students. Please complete a nomination for each student no later than September 18, 2026.
