SRC Research Scholars
The TECHCON Abstract Call is open to SRC Research Scholars. What is an SRC Research Scholar?
An SRC Research Scholar is a student in the semiconductor talent pipeline presently working towards a degree and is engaged in SRC-sponsored R&D/WFD programs. SRC Research Scholars do not need to be directly financially supported by SRC. Rather, they must be participating in SRC research or a related WFD program. SRC Research Scholars may be pursuing an Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree, or they may be a postdoc.
Submitter Eligibility & Requirements
Undergraduates
- Submitters should be working on SRC Research
- It is expected that every graduate student in their 2nd year or later will submit at least one abstract
- Submitters should not have a job or job offer (internships do not count as a full-time job)
- A maximum of 2 abstracts per graduate student can be submitted
Graduates
- Submitters should be working on SRC Research or participating in SRC Workforce Development programs
- It is expected that every undergraduate student will submit at least one abstract
- Submitters should not have a job or job offer (internships do not count as a full-time job)
- A maximum of 1 abstract per undergraduate student can be submitted
TECHCON Presenter Obligations
If you are selected to present at TECHCON, you are required to attend the entire conference: Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024 — Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2024.
Graduate students will present a 15-minute presentation with 5-minute Q&A as well as one poster session. Undergraduates will present posters on both Monday and Tuesday during the TechConnect sessions.
Presentation Information
- Presentations will be 15 minutes in length with 5 minute Q&A. A computer and projecter are provided.
- Presentations are grouped by technology interests and Decadal Plan Seismic Shifts.
- Presenters will display their poster for live Q&A at a TechConnect session. Presenters must provide their own fully-charged computer.
Presenters who accept their invitation to present at TECHCON must notify SRC immediately if they accept employment. SRC reserves the right to replace research scholar presenters who have accepted employment prior to the conference. Please contact techcon@src.org if you accept employment or have any questions.
By accepting an invitation to present at TECHCON, you are agreeing to fulfill the obligation timetable listed below. Note that undergraduates will only present posters and can disregard the paper and presentation deadlines.
